Todo terreno
Off the RoadOff the Road Productions is a collaborative project by award-winning filmmakers, Raúl O. Paz-Pastrana and Alan Domínguez, that focuses on BIPoC stories from the deserts of the Southwest up to the streams of the Rocky Mountains.
our story
Drawn together by their cinematic and socially-oriented approach to filmmaking, Raúl and Alan work on projects that collaborate with local artists and communities, highlighting BIPoC talent in front of and behind the camera. By going off the road, Alan and Raul challenge traditional representations of BIPoC communities in the Southwest and the Rockies, a place with rich Native American, Latinx, and Black histories that are often untold. Additionally, they highlight stories of the people from the immigrant diaspora that find themselves making a “new home” in the Southwest.
As independent filmmakers, both Raúl and Alan have made their mark on the industry with their internationally recognized films. Together they are working on a number of projects including the feature documentary “Commerce City” (In production), and Season 2 of “In the Making” for American Masters (2023). When they are not filming you can find them hanging out with their families, or eating at the best taco food trucks in Denver, Colorado.
